Getting Back On Track
November 17, 2010
Being humans, we know that sometimes things happen, or things come up. When that happens, and you feel like you have to take a step back, it is important to remember, to pick yourself back up and get back on the horse.
Whatever your reasons for taking a break, you have to make sure to get yourself back into the swing of thing things.
Things to help get you back on track:
1. Get a good night’s sleep.
2. Make a list of things to work on. (It helps to be prepared!)
3. Prioritize and respond to emails, especially clients.
4. Set blocks of times to work
5. Take note of things that become distractions and try to avoid them
Now you don’t have to follow the specific order listed, but you do want to make sure that you use those tips in order to ensure that you can get back on track. It will be difficult at first, but getting back on track is always the hardest. Try not to pressure yourself and just work with the natural order of things. Start small and do what you can and everyday from there, work on doing a little more. Soon you will fall back into your routine, or maybe develop an improved one. Just be patient –it will come together!
